The Node Centre is the first ring out from the Central Hub, it is responsble for collecting data from a set number of Sensor Nodes/Scatter nodes from a specific Research Area. The Node Centre has its own Geiger Counter and Small number of Sensors. But is mainly used as a small central hub or the Ring Centre Node of a smaller Star Network. The Node Centres communicate directly with the Central Hub. The Trsnamission and Receiving range is estimated to be around 15km between Nodes.
The Electronics
The Node Centre has the following Electronics enclosed in a waterproof enclosure from Schnider Electrics and mounted on a 3mm Waterjet cut Aluminium frame, all electrics are mounted on 3D printed PLA mounting plates and all electronics are commercially available off the shelf components.
